According to the American College Health Association (ACHA) the suicide rate among young adults, ages 15-24, has tripled since the 1950s and suicide is currently the second most common cause of death among college students. While there is a myriad of circumstances that cause one to have the thought: “I am going to kill myself,” I believe the difference between all of us and a suicide is how long one holds the thought.
